If you’ve ever had the joy of taking part in Scootouring, you know what you have to look forward to. If this is your first time, you’re in for a treat – if you keep a few things in mind…
This is a technical route. We’ll be traveling on some unimproved roads in some out of the way places with plenty of twists and turns. If you or your machine are not up to the challenge, please consider an alternative. At the very least, ride with at one other person at all times and keep an eye on each other. We’ll do our best to keep the ride together, but cannot guarantee it will stay together. Pay close attention to the club members leading the ride. We’ve ridden these roads for many years and know what to watch for. While we encourage everyone to take part, we would much rather have everyone arrive at the grounds safely and enjoy the entire weekend.
Do not ride beyond the abilities of yourself or your machine. This is not a ride for 50cc scooters or new riders…
Please arrive for the morning meet up ready to go. The route this year is slightly shorter than years past, but still guaranteed to please. We will make a stop for fuel at the beginning and near the end of the ride. (Hint: Top up at the second stop so you don’t have to in the morning.)
A gear truck will be available at the meet-up to take any camping gear directly to the grounds. The gear truck will not follow the same route as the ride. Be sure to keep what you need on the ride with you at all times. We cannot be responsible for any personal belongings.
This year’s route DOES NOT include a stop for food or refreshments. While you are free to stop at your leisure, we suggest saving the party for the campgrounds where libations will be provided as part of your rally fees. After an unfortunate incident on the ride last year, we have decided to err on the side of caution and suggest that people not make any unplanned stops for adult beverages.
The Route Map will be posted on Saturday Morning before the Meet-Up.
There will be NO Car/Truck/SUV parking at the grounds.
